Russian Patriarch says Orthodox faithful are holding back the antichrist

LONDON – The top of the Russian Orthodox religion was quoted as saying on Thursday that his church and its trustworthy had been holding again the antichrist.

“Some thought it's the church that's holding this again, and that's right,” he was quoted as saying.

“The church retains folks from shedding their bearings in life … it's the Orthodox religion, dwelling and appearing within the Orthodox church – that is the drive that holds again (the antichrist).”

Kirill stated it was no coincidence that “at this drive right now are aimed all of the sharp arrows of all those that search to compromise the church, to divide and tear it from the folks,” in keeping with RIA.
