Airbnb suspends operations in Russia and Belarus

– House rental firm Airbnb Inc stated late on Monday it had suspended operations in Russia and Belarus.

“Company globally will now not have the ability to make new reservations for stays or Experiences in Russia or Belarus,” the corporate stated in an announcement.

“Company positioned in Russia or Belarus won't be able to make new reservations on Airbnb.”

It stated reservations beginning on or after April 4 had been cancelled.

Airbnb Chief Govt Officer Brian Chesky introduced the deliberate suspension on Twitter on March 4.
