G7 says West to cut some Russian banks from SWIFT

PARIS – Group of Seven (G7) leaders stated on Sunday that western allies had determined to chop off “sure Russian banks” from the worldwide interbanking communication system referred to as SWIFT.

The assertion, in a joint declaration revealed by the French presidency, didn't specify which Russian banks could be affected. It added a transatlantic activity drive will quickly be put in place to coordinate sanctions in opposition to Russia.
