DETECTIVES have arrested a person after he tried to guide a four-year-old-girl away from a pub.
The person allegedly approached the lady on the Cheshire Cheese pub in Middlewich, Cheshire, yesterday.
He was reportedly challenged by a mother or father after chatting with the schoolgirl within the boozer at round 8pm.
Cheshire Police confirmed that he was then detained by members of the general public exterior the pub in Lewin Avenue to stop him from leaving the world.
A 51-year-old man, from Middlewich, has been arrested on suspicion of kid abduction and stays in custody.
The little lady was bodily unhurt within the terrifying incident.
Chief Inspector Claire Jesson mentioned: "Whereas this was a really regarding incident, this was remoted and the suspect was swiftly arrested.
"I might prefer to thank those that intervened and prevented the suspect from leaving the world.
"We've got elevated patrols to supply reassurance and the household are being supported by officers."
