Student transportation canceled, OCDSB schools remain open

All school buses serving the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board have been canceled today, December 6, 2021, due to poor road conditions.

OCDSB schools are still open. Parents are welcome to drop off their children at school and pick them up at regular ring times. The extended day program is also open to enrolled students.

The decision to cancel buses is the responsibility of the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority (OSTA), which administers student transportation for the OCDSB and the Ottawa Catholic School Board.

If necessary, further announcements of cancellations of specific events taking place in OCDSB schools today will be shared on the school’s website, OCDSB website and Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Don’t forget that tutors regularly update the Google Classroom with teaching materials you can use when your child is away from school. Your teacher can contact you if there is further information.

For students scheduled for DELF oral interviews: Today, 6 December, oral interviews for DELF will take place at the Association’s Education Center as planned. Students who have an interview scheduled for Monday, December 6, should plan to attend if they are able to get there safely, but to anticipate that delays may occur due to the weather. For those students who can not book an appointment, they must send an e-mail to delftesting@ocdsb.ca requests to have it reorganized.
