Deep Forest confirmed return to Gran Turismo 7 – GTPlanet

The official Gran Turismo social media has now confirmed that the classic original Gran Turismo Deep Forest Raceway returns to the series with Gran Turismo 7.

This is the first time that the circuit has actually been confirmed for the upcoming GT title through official channels. So far, we only had exceptionally good evidence of that thanks to a little Easter egg that was tossed away in the first Behind The Scenes clip released back in October.

This clip, titled “The Starting Line”, was the first of seven short videos describing various aspects of GT7‘s design and philosophy. But it also contained some dancing light tracks across the screen that seemed artistically flourishing at first glance, but which took on some very familiar shapes.

As we reported at the time, the light trails described different areas of a slightly altered trail at Deep Forest Raceway. To prove the point, we put together a collage much like the one above, which pretty much removed any doubt.

Of course, Deep Forest is not the only original GT track to return. The first circuit shown when GT7 was announced in September 2020, was a modified version of the Trial Mountain, and we’ve also seen a slightly tweaked version of the High Speed Ring. It is likely that Deep Forest will also include some adjustments to GT7.

This official confirmation of Deep Forest also has other implications. Another set of light trails in subsequent videos also appeared to show a modified version of the Apricot Hill Raceway. We will no doubt find out more about whether or not we can expect this fan favorite GT2 circuits to land in GT7 or not in the coming days.
