Connor Curren: The National Theater star on why acting is for everyone

Connor Curren tells ITV News correspondent Sejal Karia that he used to think he might ‘not be here’ when it came to drama

When Connor Curren was growing up, he wanted to be an actor.

He had – actually has – autism and never saw anyone with the condition in any of the TV shows, movies or stage plays he saw.

But now he will be able to inspire a new generation. He has been given the lead role in the National Theatre’s production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time.
