2 dead, 7 wounded after Thanksgiving crash on Upper Peninsula

ESCANABA, MI – Two people died and seven others were injured in a three-vehicle accident on the Upper Peninsula on Thanksgiving.

The Escanaba Department of Public Safety responded to the crash site in the 1600 block on North Lincoln Road around noon. 17:49 Thursday. The road was blocked for almost four hours and traffic was diverted.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene. The seven injured were transported to nearby hospitals by Rampart EMS and Guardian Flight.

Michigan State Police are helping to investigate the accident. The names of the victims have not been released.
